Mass Intentions

It is a customary practice for the faithful to request a Mass intention for a loved one who has passed away. Requesting Mass intentions for loved ones is a sign of love, like taking flowers to the grave site or lighting candles in their memory. It is offering that person up to the Lord and asking Him for his mercy through the most powerful prayer, the celebration of the Eucharist. In each Mass, the whole community of faith comes together to pray for the intentions offered up by the faithful.

Mass intentions are not only offered for those who have gone to the Lord. Intentions may also be offered for the health of those who are sick, in thanksgiving, for wedding anniversaries, and for birthdays.

A donation is made for Mass intentions as a way of helping and providing support for the church. It is an offering made to the Lord for the intention requested.

To request an intention to be placed in the Mass, please come to the Parish Office to see the days and times that are available.

Mass intentions requests may not be taken by telephone or email.
