Eucharist / First Communion

The Eucharist is the sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ.  The Eucharist is considered the "source and summit" of the Christian life.  Through this sacrament, we are nourished by this most precious gift through which we are joined more closely to Christ and one another and strengthened to love and serve others.  We commemorate the sacrifice of Christ on the cross for the salvation of the world and witness his "Real Presence" in our midst -- body, blood, soul, and divinity.

First Communion is the celebration of receiving the sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time.  Children and adults prepare to receive this most precious gift for the rest of their lives, as they continue to grow in the love and grace of Christ.
