The sacrament of Confirmation deepens the grace first received at Baptism as we are sealed with the Gift of God the Holy Spirit. Through this sacrament, baptized Christians are strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit and endowed with gifts to enable them to carry out the mission of being active disciples of Christ and building the kingdom of God in living out their faith in the world. Confirmation completes a person's initiation into the Catholic Church.
